The 76th Primetime Emmy Awards was a feast for fashion lovers. Two gorgeous divas, Eiza Gonzalez and Rita Ora, came in nearly identical outfits, but we don't mind it because they both looked equally terrific. The gentlemen of Hollywood were rocking other colors than black: dark chocolate! Pastel brown! Plum! Aqua! Kilt also had its moment on the red carpet.
The ceremony took place September 15th at Peacock Theater in LA and was hosted by the Levy father-son duo. Of course, both were impeccably dressed, Dan even had a flyaway collar! I just wish his father, Eugene Levy, didn't commit the cardinal sin of buttoning the last button of his blazer, which is strictly forbidden in the world of men's suiting.

Let's move on to celebrity guests.
1. Meryl Streep: Mastering the Art of Balance
One of the most fabulous female stars on Emmy's red carpet was Meryl Streep. From a professional perspective, she might be considered not the easiest person to dress up, because her facial features combine softness and sharpness, and her coloration needs delicate hues. So, the star found a brilliant decision: she paired a masculine, tailored Alexander McQueen suit with a feminine and playful pussycat bow blouse to counterbalance both her sharper and softer features. As for color palette, she got refreshing baby pink which complements her complexion wonderfully and added a touch of coolness (her undertone is leaning to cool) by utilizing silvery shoes, jewelry, and even furniture on her bag. It was a triumphant look that enhanced the actress' natural beauty and showcased the power of thoughtful styling.

2. Dakota Fanning: Champagne Dreams
Dakota Fanning brought happy vibes to the red carpet in her column Armani Prive gown that suited both her complexion and body shape. My favorite detail of this look is the pearlescent embellishments on the dress evoking the fizz of champagne bubbles — it infuses so much joy into a simple dress and fits the occasion wonderfully.

3. Selena Gomez: Winter Elegance
Selena Gomez is another good example of a person who embraced her most flattering silhouettes and colors for the event. Dramatic, deep, luxurious — her velvet gown with halter neck ticked every box for an ideal Winter color palette dress.

4. Nava Mau: When Every Piece Wants to be the Star
Now, let's talk about Nava Mau who turned heads in a show-stopping, glass-like organza dress. The fit was perfect, Venetian red was amazing against the skin, and the neckline — unique and complemented both face and body. But... there's a "but". Choosing a dress that really stands out is like having a main character in your overall look. The remaining cast should support but not interrupt. In Nava's ensemble, the focus goes not only on the dress but also towards jewelry, dark nails, shimmery shoes... Each piece is great when worn separately, however together they compete for attention.

5. Quinta Brunson: Old Hollywood Glamour
Quinta Brunson wore a slightly similar dress: shiny organza hourglass-shaped gown, however she allowed it to take center stage. I would say that her way of styling appears more expensive and iconic.

6. Eiza Gonzalez and Rita Ora: Twinning in Pink
Eiza Gonzalez and Rita Ora unintentionally twinned in powdery pink gowns and feathered full-length coats (both outfits were created by Tamara Ralph). Let's not argue who wore it better: they both looked great and glamorous and reminded us that great minds (and stylists) think alike.

7. Alan Cumming: Breaking Fashion Rules
Alan Cumming proved once again that fashion rules are made to be broken. The Scottish actor absolutely nailed the kilt and long-tartan-cummerbund-that-extends-to-a-scarf look. My piece of advice to anyone whose face looks ethereal or extraterrestrial, just like Alan's: you are spared from an obligation to wear boring clothes. You can go creative and just have fun, and people will love you even more for this!

8. Scott Evans: Unexpected Color Combinations
Scott Evans impressed in a pastel brown suit complemented with light cyan buttons and jewelry. We don't see combinations like this very often on the red carpet, especially when it comes to menswear, so let's thank Scott for spoiling us with some unexpected burst of color!
